Reckond Revolutionizes Consumer Accountability with Groundbreaking Platform

Black Entrepreneur Launches First Platform That Scores Brands on Their Commitment to the Black CommunityIn a move that's set to shake up the way consumers interact with brands, Seneca Connor, a trailblazing African American entrepreneur and attorney from Northern California, has launched Reckond - a pioneering platform that scores major companies on their commitment to the Black community. With over 800 brands already evaluated across seven dimensions of community commitment, Reckond is poised to become the go-to tool for consumers seeking to hold corporations accountable for their actions.

A Platform Born Out of Necessity
Connor's vision for Reckond was sparked by her own experiences as a consumer, frustrated by the lack of transparency and accountability from major brands. With Black consumers representing over $2.2 trillion in annual spending power, Connor recognized the immense influence they wield - but also the limited tools available to them to make informed purchasing decisions. 'We need to close the gap between what companies say and what they do,' she emphasizes. Reckond's mission is to provide a platform that empowers consumers to make choices that align with their values.

How It Works
Reckond evaluates companies across seven key dimensions, including workforce diversity, supplier diversity, and community investment. Using verifiable data sources such as EEOC filings and FEC political contribution records, the platform generates a score from 0 to 100 and a letter grade from A through F for each brand. This information is then made available to consumers at the point of purchase, allowing them to make informed decisions about where their dollars go.

A Free Resource for Black-Owned Businesses
But Reckond isn't just about holding corporations accountable - it's also a powerful tool for Black-owned businesses. With over 1,300 verified Black-owned businesses listed in the platform's directory, consumers can easily find and support companies that align with their values. And with no listing fees or commissions collected on sales, Reckond is committed to driving traffic directly to each business's own website.

A Visionary Leader at the Helm
Connor's background as a licensed attorney and MBA holder has given her a unique perspective on the intersection of law and business. As founder and CEO of The Bag Icon LLC, an accessible luxury accessories brand, she's already made a name for herself in the industry - but Reckond represents a new chapter in her career. 'This is about more than just building a platform,' she says. 'It's about creating a movement that empowers consumers to demand accountability from corporations.'

Reckond is poised to revolutionize the way we interact with brands, and its impact will be felt far beyond the world of consumerism. By providing a platform for consumers to hold corporations accountable, Reckond is helping to create a more just and equitable society - one where the Black dollar lands where it belongs.
