  Disgrace

Here's a longer story sketch for "Disgrace":

David, a charismatic university professor, has a secret affair with a student, leading to a scandal that ruins his career and reputation. Ostracized by colleagues and friends, he retreats to his daughter Lucy's rural farm in South Africa. Lucy, a strong-willed woman, lives a simple life, trying to make ends meet.

As David adjusts to farm life, he confronts his past mistakes and navigates complex relationships with Lucy, her neighbors, and a local dog handler, Petrus. Petrus, ambitious and unsettling, has a fraught history with Lucy. Tensions rise when Petrus's actions lead to a violent attack on Lucy and David, leaving them traumatized.

David struggles with guilt, shame, and his own mortality. He forms a bond with a local animal clinic, helping to euthanize unwanted dogs, finding solace in this work. As he and Lucy try to heal, David grapples with his "disgrace" and seeks redemption in a society marked by racial and social tensions.

The story explores themes of power, morality, forgiveness, and human complexity.
